Lateral Third Clavicle Fracture

• 15% of Paediatric Clavicle fractures.

• FOOSH or blow to outer edge of clavicle

• 50% under age 7 heal quickly and recover fully.

 

 

 

MANAGEMENT

• Analgesia

• Non displaced- Broad arm sling fracture clinic 7 days.

• Displaced- Refer on call orthopaedics

• ORTHO if: Displaced, Pathological, Skin at risk, Open, NV injury
