Supracondylar Fracture in child <3

  • Image shows a Salter Harris I supracondylar fracture at birth.

  • As the capitellum as not yet ossified the elbow appears dislocated.

  • Infact this is due to separation of the physis.

  • True dislocation in this age group are extremely rare.
