MANAGEMENT​

  • Analgesia

  • Above knee backslab

  • Fracture clinic

TODDLERS FRACTURE

  • Occurs in young ambulatory children 9 moths to 3 years

  • Spiral or oblique undisplaced fracture of the distal shaft of the tibia with an intact fibula.

  •  The periosteum remains intact and the bone is stable

  • Often not apparent on AP or lateral Xray Oblique view may reveal fracture line.
